Envirodeck and CarbonWorx invites you to be a part of an innovative journey on sustainability and leave a legacy.

All corporates and individuals should be proactive and responsible by being a part of a programme that restores ecosystems and offsets or reduces carbon footprint.

Although much is written about sustainability and restoring natural habitats or biomes, there are very few examples or case studies where this can be verifiably measured or sustained.

Planting a tree in the absence of a long term strategy to measure and quantify the result is worthless.

Similarly as a participant in a sustainable project, you need the assurance from an independent party that the process is real, measurable and flows from baseline studies, which are checked and updated regularly.

The CarbonWorx green acclaim programme is very innovative and completely South African, in that it provides jobs to members of local communities and assists in wealth and value creation. In addition, various local ecosystems are restored and the planet, as a whole enjoys the benefit on the basis that micro assists macro.

A further Innovation is that the CarbonWorx programme not only allows individuals and corporate to calculate their GHG (greenhouse gases) footprint but also enables them to offset their CO² via a point accumulation programme embracing many well known FMCG products and participating retail outlets.

As a participant in the planet’s ecosystem we all have a role to play – be proactive and take the lead.  The CarbonWorx programme is unique, innovative and assists a number of different role players including schools, communities, individuals and of course, our planet.

Why Envirodeck has joined the CarbonWorx initiative

Consumer Ethics - demand that corporates like ourselves manage their supply chain in line with environmental best practice.

Stakeholders - demand reporting on Financials, Social Responsibility and Sustainability.

Staff - have expectations to work for a company who is environmentally conscious.

GHG Footprint - must be measured and a mitigation, adaptation and offset programme should be maintained.

Legislation - will eventually require corporates to comply with stated objectives.

Assisting Consumers - by providing a mechanism to enable consumer to offset their GHG footprint, by using our products and services.

Many corporates only focus on their own corporate footprint and don’t focus on how they can assist their own consumers’ footprint.
